My first advert

I made the big time, on a small scale in advertising. While at Specsavers Kat and I had the opportunity to make a 5 second advert for the moving posters in the London Underground. We made two of them. Check out the 'Should've gone to Specsavers' ads on the link

Squash Court

Us Design did this squash court project. I play squash, and plan to do a self initiated on the sport. The attention to detail here is top notch.

That was the heaviest weekend ever!!

One Red Paperclip

It's been in my "wish I thought of that" list for a while now. I finished the book about it today about Kyle MacDonald's attempt of trading a red paperclip for a house. Really witty and, yeah just buy it, or trade something with someone who has the book to get the book.

It's been a while

Since my last post I finished working at Aricot Vert, headed home to Guernsey, and have now done about five weeks of in-store Specsavers advertising. I'm working as an Art Director and have been away for the weekend to shoot two 5 second clips for the London Underground tube screens. It's being edited today and I'll post the results back soon.

Don't litter!

A short video that Tom and I threw together for a brief with Glue. It was intended to encourage people to stop littering by making it more fun.

Festival Hall Done, onto doors

After a huge effort we finally finished the Acoustic Tubes project. This is how it looked. After that we made and shot a Doritos ad in a day. Word!

The Royal Festival Hall

Yes a commission. Last week we got the go ahead from the Royal Festival Hall to put one of our projects into motion. This is in preparation for the May performance of Luigi Nono's Prometeo.

Yesterday I visited the O2 Arena just to experience the place for a YCN project. The structure is absolutely incredible and there's a great range of fancy stuff to do there. The outside was rather fascinating with a case full of random artifects.

In the Dark photography

This is one of three photos that I worked with David Knapton for. Darkness is often quite uncomfortable and you see things that aren't actually there. In this photo, cardboard cutouts seem to be threatening, until you realise they are only cardboard cutouts.

Meme Machine

Working with Kris Kane, Vicky Mey and Han Li we remastered a jingle from many decades ago and reinvented it as a crit song. Every time a crit occurs the jingle should instantly pop into the minds of everybody.

Commuter's Newsaper

When traveling, more often than not someone will be peering over your shoulder at the newspaper you're reading. The commuter's newspaper can be read from the point of yview of the commuter only - it's only part newspaper.

Package Sugar

This is a conceptual package for sugar. Sugar is highly abundant in fruit although people neglect this. Too much fruit too often can actually be bad, ironic considering we are told to eat more fruit and veg.

Unconscious Competition

We filmed a crowd of people flocking in numbers out of the ten o'clock train to Kingston station. Without even realising it people were in competition with one another. Two commentators present this unconscious competition. See the video link.

I fake tanned, for a week - Concept Orange

"Being orange is better than being white!" Working with Iree Pugh we researched the status of being orange and I tried it out myself.

A celebration of Erik Spiekermann's ITC Officina in lower case. A piece of work in conjunction with Peter Stadden, James Reynolds and Elliot Maries.

Letterforms when brushing

The word Glisten forms when brushing your teeth believe it or not. Actions, images and sounds spell out this word. A collaboration with James Reynolds, Ben Hooper and James Roberts.

Sloth - Pressing the snooze button

A moving image piece from a while and a half ago. The sleeping customer is constantly agitated by the beeping alarm clock. Everytime the snooze button is pressed, the clock face changes to from the time to the word sloth.

Book worm

A few of the books I made ages ago. The covers are recycled from envelopes and TimeOut magazines from the 50s.

I love me

A day project I did casually. N is a fantastic letter, why not dig it into the greatest beach!!
